James Flames is an illustrator and screen-printer - an avid storyteller who uses the tools of illustration and print-making to tell often sentimental and otherworldly tales of adventure and inner exploration.
Having started out creating flyers and artwork for his own and later many indie-rock bands, album covers, beer bottle labels and magazines, James is increasingly making a name for himself designing official movie posters, and his intricately drawn and multi-coloured screen-printed gig-posters for artists the likes of Billy Joel, Foo-Fighters, Alabama Shakes, David Grey and Dave Matthews Band.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he now resides in the relative tranquillity of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Ashville, North Carolina, where he works from his studio in Zen-like isolation, tucked away in the woods.
